Here's what I learned on this project: Adhesives are everywhere! Here's what else: When product listings are in the 10,000s, taxonomy REALLY matters. UX sprints for this international team were 2-4 weeks ahead of developers. We conducted research, iterated prototypes, and reviewed dev work in progress. At core we discovered how to support the exacting needs of industrial design engineers and make the web portal more useful for customers.

Let's face it, purchasing insurance is no fun. So how can it be made easier? My team of 3 analyzed participant input from focus groups, benchmarked insurance digital experience and looked to the future with rapid, low-fi concept prototypes. These were used to gather customer reaction and help prioritize business decisions about technical investments for the AARP insurance product roadmap.
